Requirements

Course Methodology

This is a 25-hour training program designed to be completed over the course of five days This course follows a hands-on, experiential approach designed to equip participants with practical skills they can apply immediately in their teaching practice. The participants can expect to:

  • Explore and apply ICT tools through guided demonstrations and interactive workshops.
  • Work collaboratively on group tasks and create digital teaching materials.
  • Practice using tools with on-the-spot guidance and feedback from trainers.
  • Reflect on their progress and tailor learning to their specific classroom needs.

  • Explore the opportunities and challenges of using ICT in diverse classroom contexts.

Module 02: EdTech Tools for Active Learning

Module 03: SAMR Model, TPCK Model

  • Explore frameworks for integrating technology into teaching practices effectively.
  • Understand how to use these models to enhance lesson delivery and student outcomes.

Module 04: Media Literacy: Ensuring Cybersecurity and Digital Well-being

  • Develop approaches for teaching media literacy and responsible digital citizenship.
  • Focus on online safety, promoting mental well-being, and fostering ethical use of technology.

Module 05: Coding and Computational Thinking

  • Introduce coding basics and computational thinking as essential skills for modern learners.
  • Highlight ways to integrate logical problem-solving into classroom activities.

Module 06: Creating a Website for Educational Purposes

  • Learn how to design simple, accessible websites for sharing resources, showcasing student work, or facilitating communication.
  • Emphasize best practices for usability and accessibility.

Module 07: Creating Interactive Learning Experiences: Using Mobile Devices for Active Learning

  • Explore how mobile devices can be used to enhance interactive learning.
  • Focus on creating student-centered activities and fostering collaboration through handheld technology.

Module 08: Methodologies to Integrate ICT in Education

  • Discover pedagogical strategies for incorporating ICT into teaching across subjects and age groups.

Module 09: Visual (Digital) Storytelling and Infographics

  • Use storytelling and infographics to make complex concepts more accessible and engaging.
  • Encourage students to communicate ideas creatively through multimedia projects.

Module 10: Integration of Artificial Intelligence

  • Explore the role of AI in education and how it supports personalized learning and data-driven instruction.
  • Discuss the implications and ethical considerations of using AI in schools.

Module 11: Innovation and Future Trends Workshop: Using AI Tools

  • Participate in a workshop to explore innovative trends like AI, augmented reality, and gamification.
  • Envision how these trends can shape the future of teaching and learning.

Module 12: Lesson Planning

  • Synthesize course concepts by creating innovative lesson plans that integrate ICT effectively.
  • Focus on aligning digital tools with learning objectives and student needs.

Learning outcomes

  • Gain skills and knowledge necessary to create and implement digital tools,, incorporate digital technologies into educational lessons with regards to interdisciplinary approach.
  • Generate ready‐to‐use materials, practical ideas and current online applications to support school or organizational development in the field of ICT, promote universal access to education.
  • Support open educational resources (OER) and open learning environment in education, foster collaboration between educational sectors including disadvantaged learners.
  • Develop key competences such as critical thinking through media and digital literacy, promote use of ICT to enhance quality and relevance of mainstream education at all levels.
  • Revise and develop personal and professional competences, build confidence in promoting use of ICT in education, support innovative and active pedagogies responsive to social and cultural diversity.
  • Gain broader understanding of practices, policies and systems of education of different countries, cultivate mutual respect, intercultural awareness and embed common educational and training values.
  • Meet colleagues of different nationalities within the EU, engage in cross-cultural learning experience, exchange ideas and build a network for future international cooperation.
  • Enrich communication skills, improve foreign language competencies, broaden professional vocabulary and promote EU’s broad linguistic diversity.
